Cutler and Gross // New Arrivals Highlights - Spring/Summer 2019
We love what Cutler and Gross has done for their Spring/Summer release for 2019. When we first looked at the collection it was evident that they were re-creating some of their best-selling classics while also making what is sure to be new ones.
The collection is a perfect mixture of bold chunky (yet surprisingly light and wearable) acetates along with time-less combination styles in their classic Dark Turtle and Black colorways. Here are some highlights from the British luxury brand that is designed in London and handcrafted in Italy.
CUTLER AND GROSS // 1319 Eyeglasses
The 1319 is a re-introduction of the 0822 as a bolder, stronger, yet still supremely light-weight iconic frame. The updated vertical front pin offers a modern design while connecting the frame front to its temples.
Created using a 9mm acetate sheet, the interior portions of the frame front are removed using a technique called ‘televisioni’ milling. This milling technique allows the frame to appear bold while maintaining a light-weight structure.
CUTLER AND GROSS // 1341 Sunglasses

The 1341 is an oversized statement angular sunglass with a straight browline featuring 9mm reverse milled, laminated acetate and a unique metal plate design on the side of the frame.
It has the look and feel of a chunky acetate frame without the heaviness. Available in Dark Turtle, Black, and the unique Grad Sherry colorways.
CUTLER AND GROSS // 1332 Eyeglasses & Sunglasses

The 1332 is a modern take on a 50’s inspired bold contoured frame with a 7mm thick milled acetate top and metal rims.
A distinctive look, distilled and re-engineered using cutting edge techniques and materials.
Also available as a sunglass - the lenses feature a backside anti-reflective coating practically eliminating glare and reflections, and then treated with hydrophobic and oleophobic layers so that they stay cleaner longer.
CUTLER AND GROSS // 1336 Sunglasses & Eyeglasses
Offered as a sunglass and eyeglass the 1336 is classic silhouette with a modern design characterised by its comfort fit and adjustable metal nose bridge.

Other details include a flat 6mm hand finished acetate frame front, newly designed temples, and contrasting colour laminated acetate nose pads.
Available in Camouflage, Black, and Dark Turtle colorways.
CUTLER AND GROSS // 1334 Sunglasses
The 1334 is a rounded club-horned sun frame with a flat 6mm acetate top, metal rims, and newly designed vintage temples. Reminiscent of favourites from the Cutler and Gross archive.
Other details include beautifully designed functional pins and bridge. Available in Black and Dark Turtle.

An optical version of the 1334, the 1333 offers a retro club-horned frame crafted out acetate and stainless steel.

Other details include a matching metal nose-pad with grooves and the Cutler and Gross logo. Seen here in Dark Turtle (top), the 1333 is also available in Classic Navy Blue, Camouflage, and Black.

The 1337 is a striking contemporary rectangular acetate frame with stunning metal detailing. The new L-shaped custom hardware offers 20% more strength than a traditional pin.
